Retain Factory Steering Wheel Controls - Retain OE AUX Input - Bypass OEM Amplifier - Chrysler Wiring Harness
Retaining your factory steering wheel controls when replacing your factory radio with an aftermarket radio is extremely important for safety and easy of use. Factory steering wheel retention harnesses make this very easy with a simple plug and play connector so you don't have to splice power, ground and steering wheel signals to aftermarket interface that your new aftermarket radio can use.
Retaining the factory 3.5mm Auxiliary input when replacing your factory radio with and aftermarket radio is important when you want to connect an external device easily to the inputs of the aftermarket radio, these harnesses make that easy.
Bypassing the factory amplifier is a more difficult undertaking but provides the best sound quality gain. When bypassing, it takes a more work because you have to run the bypass harness to the factory amplifier, which is often located in some other part of the car.
